You can contact the SARS call center on 0800 00 7277, they will verity your identity by running some security questions.

2. Lodge a request on the SARS homepage:

You can request your income tax reference number off the SARS homepage by following these steps:

Navigate to the SARS webpage www.sars.gov.za and click on the box called “What’s my tax number”.

Complete the online form and fill in your information on the form and submit and SARS will email you a reference number as well as your income tax reference number.
